The TR8 Bus Assign module is a mono input line level module with a simple level control and a panner.
The PAN control is a standard stereo pan circuit with a center detent. The TR8 has the ability to have UNITY gain when the fader is full up, or you can change an internal jumper and it can be at UNITY when the fader is at 2 O'Clock, and +12 when full up.
The TR8 uses the proprietary all discrete TX-240 op-amp and with the TR8+ bus master option, the all discrete TX-260 output stage with the TX-280 transformer.
It allows the rack to be filled with a full set of 16 modules, giving you 16 in X 8 out channels, including the masters, ALL IN ONE 3U RACK.
The rear panel feature connector provides for an external fader for the bus master option on the TR8+.
The TR8 can be used by it self as a inexpensive mono in, 8 out mixer for DAW or LIVE use when a flexable module is required with multiple outputs. It can serve as a monitor matrix, additional sends or even a Mix Minus matrix for live. This module, when used as a simple external summing module, will bring the cost of a DAW external mixing system down considerably while allowing panning between any pair of busses, which could be assigned to the Stereo Bus and the Surround busses.
When used with the MX2 series, the addition of FOUR more TR8+ modules will give you the masters for the FOUR sends on the MX2, saving you the space of having FOUR SM1 master modules, with the added feature of routing when tracking or more inputs when mixing.
The TR8 can also be used as an additional set of 8 sends, fed from the direct output of the MX2, as the outputs of any of the bus switches can be internally set to feed any of the 16 available busses in the VRACK, allowing up to EIGHT additional sends from each MX2.
