Tonelux Equalux 2 Channel Four-Band Equalizer

The EQUALUX is a DISCRETE Parametric Equalizer with some very unique features. Notice that the panel has no Q control. The filter Q control is in relation to the Boost and Cut control, and uses a "Constant Energy Curve" or known as "Proportional Q" that keeps the bandwidth wider at lower boost or cut levels and becomes narrow at higher boost or cut levels. This is musically pleasing.

The curve is identical to many classic equalizers and is one of the reasons they are preferred over newer designs. When the PEAK button pressed, the 4 yellow "peak" buttons keep the width at a constant 1/3 octave for more precision control.

The Tonelux EQUALUX has all of the features of the EQ4P, plus proportional Q and fixed 1/3 octave switches on ALL four bands, shelving on BOTH the high-frequency band and the low-frequency band, a silent IN/OUT switch, and the addition of a hard wire bypass switch that also bypasses the unit in the unlikely event of a power failure. The front panel and chassis is a very sexy extrusion that will accent any rack of equipment. The EQUALUX EQs will be available after AES. In addition to the EQUALUX, Tonelux will be introducing the DYNALUX Compressor, a two-channel version of the TXC compressor, with many added linking and control features. A dual mic pre is also in the works.
