The Telefunken Elektroakustic AR51 has a very unique and graceful upper octave presence that is not harsh or strident sounding. It is clear and extremely musical and flattering. The Mid range is clear and focused, while the bottom octave is firm and solid. This microphone is a great addition for drum overheads; acoustic instruments, vocals of all shapes and sizes. I have found unbeatable tones with the AR51 with small combo setups for electric GTR, as its response is very articulate and seems to shoot the source from the speaker in a very cool manner. -A/B
