This furry windscreen is reminiscent of those Rycote Zepplin (duuude) style wind-stoppers you often see protecting mics on TV that often follow around the celeb du jour and is an excellent way to protect your Royer ribbon mic should you find yourself using it in the barren tundra of Siberia. Wind is not the friend of ribbon mics (remember, the microphone element is a thin "ribbon"), so if you think this windscreen might be overkill, we suggest the WS58 Foam windscreen.
