Coleman Audio M3A MK2 Active Control Room Monitor

Similar in format and features to it's cousin the M3PH MKII, the main signal path in the M3A is active. Why would you want this? Well... simply put it's a matter of gain. For example, if you're running a -10dB setup (keyboards or semi-pro gear like that Tascam 4-track you can't seem to part with), you may need the active version to get more level.

Coleman Audio M3A MK2 features
The M3PH MK2 is pictured above. The only difference between the M3PH MK2 and the M3A MK2 is the M3PH MK2 is passive, meaning the maximum signal level you put into it is the most you're gonna get out of it. If you need something that will provide you with more gain, the M3A MK2 is the unit you'll need.

Designed to be the control room monitor source selector. This unit's control room signal path is completely passive, with a four gang stepped attenuator, that tracks within ±.05dB. This ensures accurate, and repeatable stereo imaging at any level. Individual mute switches allow speaker isolation and a phase reverse switch helps you check the integrity of the audio path. A four input source selector and three balanced outputs provide numerous monitoring options in any application.

  • Four balanced stereo inputs on XLR's
  • Three balanced stereo outputs on XLR's
  • Passive level control that tracks to .05db
  • Mono sum to check phase
  • Phase reverse switch
  • Left and right mutes
