What makes these cards stand out? Aside from the stellar audio and performance? [and we mean way better performance from every other cards we've tried] How about pro audio level connectivity for starters. All the cards have all balanced connections for both analog and digital. Yes, there are AES/EBU connections. They also provide all the necessary audio cables with most cards. The cables aren't like 18 inches, they're 6 feet and clearly labeled. Lynx also has exceptional tech support, which is something few people look at when investing in ANY computer equipment. And as usual, Mercenary doubles the warranty provided by Lynx as we do for all the equipment we carry. The original Carillon/Nuendo rig in our studio ran the LynxTwo-C and an AES16 card beautifully, and sonically puts our old Steinberg 9652 cards to shame. They're a snap to install and require little finessing to be recognized. The time it took us to install the cards, from peeling the shrink wrap to working in Nuendo with the new cards took under an hour. While we've only been able to test the install and performance on a PC running Windows XP (on our rig), we hear with the new Mac Core Audio Drivers in OSX is playing well with the LynxTWO. All Lynx PCI cards (LynxOne, LynxTWO, AES16 and L22) are non-returnable items. Once the shrink wrap is opened, it's yours. If it is defective, it will be replaced, but once purchased it can not be returned.
