The new Horch RM2J is a completely new designed tube microphone. Fitted with our own designed 4 micron capsule capsule and a very special JAN- tube circuit, the Horch RM2J offers a very open, smooth sound. The bottom is VERY solid, but not muddy. The Horch microphone is switchable between fixed cardioid mode [blue] and multipattern [red]. This switch is located on the front of the microphone. While there is a cardioid pattern available in the multipattern mode, it has a different sound and texture than the fixed cardioid pattern of the "blue" mode. In "blue", the rear diaphragm element of the microphone is turned off, creating a clearer cardioid presentation.
