If you've been poking around the site a bit I'll bet you've noticed some cute folksy stories about how Mercenary first met some of the companies we represent. Well that ain't happenin' here. George is one of the preeminent engineers of our time, so there will be no cute folksy stories here. Nope, not even the story about when Fletcher went to George's wedding as EveAnna Manley's date... and his bike shit the bed. "Fuggedaboudit" you'll have to call to hear that one. If you've somehow been living in a cave in the Himalayas for the past two decades, here's some trivia about GML you should probably know... George designed, authored and presented the 1972 AES paper on the Parametric Equalizer (he and a couple of his buddies invented the damn thing... pretty neat huh). Individually or collaboratively, he has participated in over two hundred record albums during the past 30 years... including a couple / three that won Grammy® awards including one of only four ever presented by NARAS® for technical achievement. Suffice it to say that we at Mercenary are honored to have equipment to these demanding standards on our roster... suffice it to say, we're damn proud to be able to call George a friend.
