The model name "EL-8S" is really a misnomer. The package is comprised of 2 standard EL-8's with a stereo link cable all in one shipping carton... but its really 2 mono units not a special stereo unit. The really cool thing about Empirical Labs is that their consistency is so good that if you don't have the shiny Ducats to pickup 2 at a shot you can pick them up individually... and they'll work together exactly like the EL-8S!
