The LTD-2 is based on the Neve® 2254 compressor which is the class A predecessor to the 2264 and 33609. Construction is similar to the LTD-1. The same audio circuit with a modified set of controls (i.e. attack times not on original and more and faster release times). The control functions and applications seem to be more similar to those of the venerable Neve 32264a and 33609, with the thick and rich audio qualities of the Neve. The front panel controls are as follows- 20db gain make up, threshold, attack (6 positions), release (6 positions including auto), stereo link, and bypass. On the whole, this unit is more than just another "Neve-a-like"... it takes the original Neve 2254 concept to the next level of tone and flexibility.
chandler ltd-2 features
The LTD-2 uses the control circuit from the family of compressors, but retains the Class A amps and transformers from the the 2254 modules. We add a six position attack switch which none of the vintage types had, and speed up the release times, which makes the units much more versatile.

Chandler LTD-2 Mastering Mod for a PAIR for LTD-2s.
All prices include the power supply which other shops [the ones with prices lower than Mercenary's] make you purchase as a separate item. Unless you're pretty handy and have 24 and 48 vdc floating around your studio, you're going to need the power supply. We're kinda lazy at Mercenary Audio, so rather than giving you the "absolute lowest price" then having to call you to remind you that you need to pony up additional cash for the power supply, we just include it in the price from the get-go. This saves everyone a time. If you really want a Chandler unit without the power supply, we can do that... but really, a smart man wouldn't do it and a lazy man wouldn't do it... and as an added pain in the arse, you'll need to call or email us to arrange that kind of special order.
