The ATI 8MX2 is a neatly packaged powerhouse, designed for live sound reinforcement applications, but flexible enough for studio uses including “sidecar” routing/mixing. The 8MX2 should provide all you need to capture your sources as cleanly as possible using high quality microphone preamplifiers, each with 65 DB of gain. The microphone amplifier design in the 8MX2 comes straight from the famed ATI Paragon Console. The mixer also features some rather helpful peak limiters for making sure to kill those pesky over’s in digital land, and beyond. Other noteworthy features include linking multiple MX2’s, 2-buss Monitoring, Multi-track and 2-track returns, as well as direct outputs per channel. -A/B
